SharePoint Business Analyst

Discover Technologies, LLC provides professional services in both the commercial and government sectors to ensure effective delivery of contracted services to customers’ world-wide. In this role, Discover Technologies’ business analysts provide comprehensive requirements analysis support that ensures that all design and development components deliver on the business capabilities necessary to fulfill organizational objectives. The successful candidate is capable of planning, communicating, driving and coordinating small scale SharePoint projects. The candidate also provides technical guidance and hands on support for customers. Candidate must have a strong SharePoint technical and functional knowledge for SP 2010 and preferred for SharePoint Online.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently and support requirements analysis activities on a variety of projects.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings to elicit and discuss requirements for the project.
  • Prioritizes requirements to meet stakeholder needs and enhances the design and implementation process
  • Examine existing business processes
  • Identify gaps in processes, opportunities for improvements and automation
  • Help implement the new processes, features and tools
  • Formally document business, functional and technical requirements and track any changes to them by producing and using SDLC deliverable documents, including functional requirements specifications, requirements traceability matrices (RTMs), use cases, storyboards, workflow diagrams and data flow diagrams.


Skills& Experience

  • 5+ years’ IT Business Analyst experience
  • Technical communication experience with business users
  • Advanced SharePoint 2010 and 2013 configuration and migration experience
  • SharePoint Online experience preferred
  • Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • High level of interpersonal skills and ability to successfully collaborate with team members

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in developing, testing, debugging common SharePoint and Nintex related issues
  • strong SharePoint technical and functional knowledge for both SP2010
  • Extensive experience eliciting and documenting Business and User requirements
  • Extensive Business Process Development experience
  • Requirement Testing (Manual Testing and User Acceptance Testing)
  • MS Office
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
